Steps to setup the Shopify App


  1. Go to Shopify and install the app in your store (or go to https://apps.shopify.com/online-courier-v2)

  2. Submit the signup application for Online Courier

  3. Go live by sending us the required financial documentation

Testing

  1. Once the the app has been installed in the Shopify store. Go to the "Online Courier InternetExpress" app settings page. You will be redirected to the Online Courier admin portal and automatically logged in.
  2. Go to your online store, add a product to your cart, and proceed to checkout.
  3. Enter a South African based delivery address on the shipping method step (be sure to provide the correct postal code)
  4. A list of delivery quotes should appear on the payment method step

Troubleshooting

  1. Make sure your store's address location is set

    https://admin.shopify.com/store//settings/locations

  2. Make sure you have no conflicting rates

    e.g. remove any "Free" Standard rates

    https://admin.shopify.com/store//settings/shipping

  3. Make sure that the Online Courier app services are enabled

    • In your store, go to Shipping and delivery
    • Click "Manage" under the "General shipping rates" section
    • Under the section "Shipping zones", find "Online Courier for Internet Express - Shipping Rate Provider (Rates provided by app)"
    • Click "Edit Rate" by first clicking the "..."
    • Make sure the services you want to offer are ticked (blue checkbox)
    • Click "Done"
    • Click "Save" (top right)
